Near-death experience
So today I went floating down the river at Monkey Rock with some friends. I hadn't been there before, and didn't really know what to expect. And well, I don't think that was a good idea. You see...I accidentally took the raft that had a hole in it and the rapids were worse than I thought they were. In result, I got sucked under for a bit and it was really terrifying. Whenever this was happening I was thinking, "Am I really about to die? Is this my time to go?" ...What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, right? And more terrified, of course. lol but although it was super dooper scary, I think it was a good experience. I also think I have a greater appreciation for my life now...not that I didn't have an appreciation before. I don't know why this happened, but I do know I'm okay, at least for now. I am still a little in shock from it. I am also a little iffy on going to places I have never been to before, or maybe just rivers. I guess I will see what comes from this. Anyways...I am very thankful for my life and all that I have. I'm thankful for my family and friends and love them all. I'm also thankful for Matt, who was attempting to swim back to help me. [:

Quotes from P.S. I Love You:
Daniel Connelly: What do women want?
Holly Kennedy: [whispering] We have no idea what we want.
Daniel Connelly: I knew it!
My insight:
I'm pretty sure men don't know what they want either.

Sweet & Spicy!
So...this is my first post on my brand new blog! I've never had one before, but I was looking at my best friend's last night & decided that I wanted to make one so that's how this all came about! It's exciting, because I LOVE writing! It is a passion of mine. Anyways...Thanks Pauline for the awesome idea & new way to use my free time. P.S. You're wonderful & I can't wait till you're here! See...the story is: I'm out at BYU-Idaho & Pauline will be here with me in the Fall, which is SO SO SO exciting! Can't wait! I'm also excited to go home & see my family & Curly in 52 days! This semester started out like it was going to be slow but it has been going WAY fast, it's incredible! Some days are slow, but mostly it's just all so fast. I even forget what happens some days or that it's already a certain day of the week. Amazing! Anyways...So, my day was going well & then I took my History test which I studied ALOT for, and failed it, so that was disappointing. But, I only let it get me down for a bit, and then my mom said to try & get a tutor. The last time I looked online to schedule to meet with one, there were none available, but I decided to look again, and there was!! So...I meet with a tutor every Monday, which is exciting, in a way! I just want to be able to do good in this class, at least better than I am now & I believe that having a tutor will help a bunch! I got a little bit ahead in math homework today, because I didn't really have much of any other homework. I DO need to study for Geography, because I have a test to take for that class on Friday, but I'm confident in that class & have been doing pretty well, so I'm not freaking out about it. Ohh...I made a creation today. I decided (I don't really know why) to put humus on a bagel tonight & I liked it! So...everyone should try it! I know it sounds absolutely disgusting, but it's not, as long as you like bagels...AND humus. Hence the Sweet & Spicy title. lol And yesterday, I was lucky enough to get sunburned through my tights. How talented is that? I've got to be one of the most palest people in the whole world! It's incredible, really! I just want to enjoy the nice weather! lol sunblock & umbrella...2 things I need to invest in. But, I'm gonna go study & watch Pirates of The Caribbean. lol good stuff. See ya soon!
